Unless otherwise noted, internships are unpaid volunteer positions. Our key cases have challenged unconstitutional laws, consumer fraud, low-wage worker exploitation and sweatshops, and race and national origin discrimination. Advancing Justice – LA also assists victims of labor or sex trafficking with obtaining legal status. We are looking for volunteers with oral and written language capacity in Arabic, Bangla, Khmer, Korean, Spanish, and English.
The project will take hours to transcribe the audio recordings verbatim and hours to translate the transcription. The Immigration Project hosts free in-house and off-site workshops and information sessions within Los Angeles County and Orange County to assist undocumented immigrants for little to no cost. Immigration consultations are also available in-person or over the phone by appointment only. We are constantly on the look out for amazing individuals to come work with us as interns.
